Twin-A-Rooney! Disney Channel's New Sitcom "Liv and Maddie" Slam Dunks With Ratings!

Disney Channel's new sitcom "Liv and Maddie" premiered big on Friday, July 19 (9:45pm) with a huge 5.8 million viewers for its Pilot episode which makes it the second highest premiere among current Disney Channel shows (the first is "Shake It Up" with 6.7 million!).

"Liv and Maddie" is a new comedy series starring Dove Cameron in the dual role of 15-year-old identical twin sisters Liv, a Hollywood star who has just returned home to Wisconsin and Maddie, a hometown basketball star, as they navigate high school life, mischievous brothers and each other's differences.

The family sitcom also stars newcomers Joey Bragg and Tenzing Norgay Trainor as younger brothers Joey and Parker Rooney, respectively, Benjamin King as dad Pete Rooney and Kali Rocha as mom Karen Rooney.

The series will join Disney Channel's family comedy block on SUNDAY SEPTEMBER 15 at (8:00 p.m., ET/PT).
