USA has announced the second season of Mr. Robot will premier on Wednesday 13 July!
Mr. Robot is undoubtedly one of the best television shows I have ever seen as well as having the most cohesive and thorough approach to story telling, performances and dedication currently on television. The performances, especially that of Rami Malek (as Elliot Anderson) is nothing other than fantastic and the show deserves every award and praise bestowed upon it. (It's also great seeing Carly Chaikin (as Darlene) slay in yet another amazing TV show following Suburgatory's cancellation two years ago).
Why is the show so good, you ask? There are so many intricate and refined moments within each episode its hard to choose just one or two significant scene/episode. Each episode transports the audience into the damaged and disturbed mind of a young, introverted computer genius as he struggles between the threshold of good and bad society.
Let's all hope the immensely high quality of the first season continues into the second season!
Mr. Robot follows Elliot Alderson (Malek), a young cybersecurity engineer who becomes involved in the underground hacker group fsociety, after being recruited by its mysterious leader (Slater). The new season will explore the consequences of its hack on the multinational company Evil Corp as well as the illusion of control. Portia Doubleday, Carly Chaikin, Martin Wallström, Grace Gummer, Michael Cristofer and Stephanie Corneliussen co-star.
